25 Night Photos of Christmas Lights in McGolrick Heights (Greenpoint) PART 2

It’s Christmas in Brooklyn, people. And my part of Greenpoint, Brooklyn has been known to me for many years as McGolrick Heights.  Subtract the rough & tumble junkies of Greenpoint Avenue and add the quaint coziness of the drunk McGolrick Park poopers and a dash of holiday spirit (or is it spirits?) and you are in my hood.   I’ve included residences and businesses alike. I especially enjoy the range of possibilities available out there this season; I like some people’s very minimalist approach and at the same time, you just gotta love when people go all out. National Grid says thank you. Enjoy, kiddos! Check out PART 1 here.

Urban Canvas

Urban Canvas was a NYC design contest to pick four designs to use for temporary protective structures for construction sites, obviously in Manhattan and not Brooklyn.  Or maybe just places where they know they will actually complete the project.

Nude Gaming Parties in NYC

For starters: Not real!  But funny that a video game console company, XtendPlay,  made this viral video for all the Internet to see.  I won’t call it NSFW because it is masterfully censored.  The video is below, but Youtube might need you signed in to watch.  It’s pretty funny.  (Via Laughing Squid)
